Privacy Policy
Welcome to EchoStory. EchoStory is operated by The Autonomes ("we", "us" or "our") and helps you turn your photos, videos and notes into written stories. Because this content may be personal, this Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using EchoStory.

1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information that you provide, or that is generated, when you use EchoStory:
- Account information: such as your name, email address and profile picture.
- Content you provide: including photos, videos, notes, names and any other information you choose to include in your stories.
- Information stored in the photos and videos you upload: such as the date and time a photo was taken and, where your camera recorded it, the location at which the photo was taken. This information is stored with the story to which the photo belongs. That location information is not used to write or summarize your stories.
- Generated content: including stories created from the materials you provide.
- Usage information: such as the features you use and information necessary to operate the service and manage account usage.
- Feedback and support information: information that you choose to send to us.
- Subscription information: where you purchase a paid plan. Payment information is processed by our payment providers, and EchoStory does not receive your full payment card number.
- Technical information: information that may be generated when you use the service, such as device, browser, network or service log information necessary to operate, secure and maintain EchoStory.
If a story is shared with you by link, you can generally view the shared story without creating an account. If you choose to react to or comment on a shared story, we may store the information necessary to provide those features.
2. How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- to provide and operate EchoStory;
- to create and personalize stories;
- to maintain your account and preferences;
- to provide sharing features;
- to process subscriptions and manage usage;
- to respond to feedback and support requests;
- to understand and improve how EchoStory is used;
- to maintain the reliability, safety and security of the service; and
- to comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Artificial Intelligence Processing
EchoStory uses third-party artificial intelligence services to help create, enhance or organize stories.
When you use a feature powered by artificial intelligence, content you choose to provide, such as photos, videos, notes or related information, may be sent to an external artificial intelligence service for processing.
EchoStory currently uses the Google Gemini API to analyze the photos, videos and notes you add, write your stories, maintain the people and places saved for you, and process the feedback you send us. We use Google's paid API service, under which Google does not use your content or the stories it writes to improve its products, retains such content only for a limited period to detect and prevent abuse, and processes it as our data processor under its data processing terms. We ask for your permission within the app before any of your content is sent.
We use commercial artificial intelligence services under contractual terms and data handling controls appropriate for processing customer content. EchoStory does not use your personal content to train its own general-purpose artificial intelligence models.
Where required, EchoStory provides additional notice within the product regarding the artificial intelligence service used for a particular feature before your content is processed.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate EchoStory, including providers of the following services:
- cloud hosting and data storage;
- artificial intelligence processing;
- analytics and product improvement;
- payment processing;
- customer support and feedback management; and
- infrastructure, security and reliability services.
These service providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to provide their services. We require these service providers, including Google, to protect your information with the same or equal level of protection as described in this policy.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to:
- comply with applicable law or legal process;
- protect the rights, safety or security of EchoStory, our users or others;
- investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents; or
- support a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business.
If this happens, your information will remain subject to this policy, or we will notify you before it becomes subject to a different one.
5. Sharing a Story
Stories are private by default.
If you choose to create a share link, anyone who has that link may be able to view the shared content, and the link may be forwarded beyond the people with whom you originally shared it.
A shared story may include the story itself, photos, and any profile information you choose to associate with it. Your email address is not displayed as part of a shared story.
You may revoke a share link within EchoStory.
Please upload or share only content that you have the right or permission to use.
6. Practices We Do Not Engage In
EchoStory currently does not:
- use your personal content for advertising;
- sell or rent your personal information;
- use advertising networks or data brokers;
- track you across unrelated apps or websites;
- use your photos for facial recognition or biometric identification; or
- request your location from your device or track your whereabouts. EchoStory only reads location information already stored in a photo you choose to upload, as described in Section 1.
If these practices change materially, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide additional notice where appropriate.
7. Your Choices
You may manage or delete content through the account and story controls available in EchoStory.
Depending on the features available in your version of EchoStory, you may be able to:
- download your stories and uploaded media;
- delete individual stories;
- update or remove information remembered by EchoStory;
- revoke share links; and
- delete your account.
You may delete your account through the account settings in EchoStory.
You may also contact us at echostory@theautonomes.ai to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account.
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide you with additional rights regarding your personal information.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide EchoStory, maintain the service, meet legal or operational requirements, and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Content such as stories, photos, videos and notes is generally retained while your account or the content remains active.
When you delete content or your account, deletion may take some time to complete, and limited copies may remain temporarily in backups, security records, or systems where retention is required for legal or operational purposes.
We may retain certain records, such as payment, fraud prevention, security or support records, for longer periods where reasonably necessary.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please take reasonable steps to protect your account and any share links you create.
10. Children
EchoStory is intended for people aged 18 and older, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an EchoStory account.
If you believe that someone under 18 has provided personal information directly to us, please contact us at echostory@theautonomes.ai, and we will review the request.
11. Processing in the United States
EchoStory and its service providers primarily process information in the United States.
If you access EchoStory from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, and processed in, the United States.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as EchoStory evolves or as legal requirements change.
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice where appropriate.

三、人工智能处理
EchoStory 使用第三方人工智能服务，协助生成、优化或整理故事。
当您使用由人工智能驱动的功能时，您选择提供的内容（例如照片、视频、备注或相关信息）可能被发送至外部人工智能服务进行处理。
EchoStory 目前使用 Google Gemini API 分析您添加的照片、视频和备注，据此撰写故事，维护您保存的人物与地点信息，并处理您提交的反馈。我们使用的是 Google 的付费 API 服务。根据该服务的条款，Google 不会将您的内容或其生成的故事用于改进其产品，仅为检测和防范滥用行为而在有限期限内保留相关内容，并作为我们的数据处理方、依据其数据处理条款进行处理。在发送您的任何内容之前，我们将在应用内征得您的同意。
我们所使用的商业人工智能服务，适用适合处理客户内容的合同条款及数据处理管控措施。EchoStory 不会使用您的个人内容训练其自有的通用人工智能模型。
在必要情况下，EchoStory 将在处理您的内容之前，于产品内就特定功能所使用的人工智能服务向您作出额外提示。
四、我们如何共享信息
我们不会出售您的个人信息。
我们可能与协助我们运营 EchoStory 的服务商共享信息，包括提供以下服务的服务商：
- 云托管与数据存储；
- 人工智能处理；
- 分析与产品改进；
- 支付处理；
- 客户支持与反馈管理；以及
- 基础设施、安全与可靠性服务。
上述服务商可能代表我们处理信息，处理范围以提供其服务所必需为限。我们要求上述服务商（包括 Google）为您的信息提供与本政策所述相同或同等水平的保护。
在合理必要的情况下，我们亦可能为以下目的披露信息：
- 遵守适用的法律法规或法律程序；
- 保护 EchoStory、我们的用户或他人的权利、安全或保障；
- 调查欺诈、滥用或安全事件；或

五、故事分享
故事默认为私密状态。
如您选择创建分享链接，任何获得该链接的人均可能查看所分享的内容，且该链接可能被转发至您最初分享范围以外的人。
分享的故事可能包含故事本身、照片，以及您选择与之关联的个人资料信息。您的邮箱地址不会作为分享故事的一部分显示。
您可以在 EchoStory 中撤销分享链接。
请您仅上传或分享您有权使用或已获得使用许可的内容。
六、我们不从事的行为
EchoStory 目前不会：
- 将您的个人内容用于广告；
- 出售或出租您的个人信息；
- 使用广告网络或数据经纪商；
- 跨不相关的应用或网站追踪您；
- 将您的照片用于人脸识别或生物特征识别；或
- 向您的设备获取位置信息，或追踪您的行踪。EchoStory 仅会读取您所上传照片中已存储的位置信息，具体如第一条所述。
如上述做法发生实质性变化，我们将更新本政策，并在适当情况下另行通知您。
七、您的选择
您可以通过 EchoStory 提供的账号及故事管理功能管理或删除内容。
视您所使用的 EchoStory 版本所提供的功能而定，您可以：
- 下载您的故事及已上传的媒体文件；
- 删除单篇故事；
- 更新或删除 EchoStory 记住的信息；
- 撤销故事分享链接；以及
- 删除您的账号。
您可以在 EchoStory 的账号设置中删除账号。
您亦可通过 echostory@theautonomes.ai 联系我们，申请访问、更正或删除与您账号相关的个人信息。
根据您所在地区适用的隐私法律，您可能就您的个人信息享有其他权利。
八、信息的保存
我们将在提供 EchoStory、维护服务、满足法律或运营要求，以及实现本政策所述目的所合理必要的期限内保存个人信息。
故事、照片、视频和备注等内容，通常在您的账号或相关内容保持有效期间予以保存。
当您删除内容或删除账号时，删除操作可能需要一定时间方可完成；在备份、安全记录，或因法律或运营需要而须保留的系统中，可能暂时留存有限的副本。
在合理必要的情况下，我们可能将部分记录（例如支付、反欺诈、安全或支持记录）保存更长时间。
九、信息安全
我们采取合理的管理、技术及组织保障措施，以保护个人信息。
任何在线服务均无法保证绝对安全。请您采取合理措施，保护您的账号及您创建的分享链接。
十、未成年人保护
EchoStory 面向 18 岁及以上的用户，我们不会在知情的情况下允许 18 岁以下的人士创建 EchoStory 账号。
如您认为有 18 岁以下的人士直接向我们提供了个人信息，请通过 echostory@theautonomes.ai 与我们联系，我们将对该请求进行审核。
十一、在美国境内处理
EchoStory 及其服务商主要在美国境内处理信息。
如您从美国境外访问 EchoStory，您的信息可能被传输至美国并在美国境内处理。
十二、本政策的更新
随着 EchoStory 的发展或法律要求的变化，我们可能更新本政策。
如发生实质性变更，我们将更新本页顶部的日期，并在适当情况下另行通知您。
